Background

After earning his degree in architecture at the Newschool of Architecture + Design, Jimmy Sullivan relocated to San Francisco to pursue his passion for design and the art of building. Jimmy has worked on a wide variety of projects in both residential and commercial architecture including retail, laboratory, affordable housing, schools and high end residential. Following several years practicing in San Francisco Jimmy relocated to San Diego and began CitiZen Design Studio.

CitiZen was originally founded with the intention of focusing on housing for survivors of domestic abuse. CitiZen has since expanded its focus into many areas of design and also continues its outreach work annually with non-profit organizations in need.
